1 Day Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) orientation for Women with Disabilities (WWDs) was conducted with the idea that basic and primary information of SRHR is necessary for WWDs, as in many cases they fall victims to harassment and/ or violation of SRH Rights.

Funded by ABILIS Foundation, SATH implemented a project named Enhancing Interpersonal Skills and Knowledge for Women and Girls with Visual Impairment, which consisted of 3 activities focusing on the holistic empowerment of Women with Visual Impairment (WVIs).

Supportive Action Towards Humanity (SATH) established itself as a ‘Not for Profit’ organization in 2019. The opening program was chaired by Dr. Birendra Raj Pokhrel. SATH is registered at respective Ward Office, Municipality, CDO and Social Welfare Council. Currently its office is located at Siphal-07, Kathmandu.

During the COVID Pandemic lockdown, SATH marked its presence on the internet as an organization working with and for Persons with Visual Impairment (PVIs) as well as sighted, through a 4 days’ online based cooking orientation for PVIs and their families.

An online based sharing and motivation program was organized by SATH in June 2021 for PVIS and their families. This program proved beneficial for the participants as it included their sharing where they mentioned the change in perspective that the society has been expressing, as the PWDs grew up and started achieving a decent social status, contradicting to its perspective during birth which was PWDs cannot have a normal social life
A unique event was organized by SATH on the occasion of Valentines’ Day, 2022, where PVIs expressed one’s feelings of love and tragedy in the form of letters. The letters were written in Braille script, but were distributed in ink for judgement, as the event was competition based. Ms. Ashma Limbu bagged the first Prize among 11 participants. Renowned theatre artist and director, Mr. Prabhakar Neupane was the judge of the competition.

It was jointly organized with Clubhouse, Siphal and was attended by both blind as well as sighted.
